A **vertical steel tank with a volume of 50,000 m³ (RVSPK-50000m3)** is used for storing oil and petroleum products, alcohols, water, and other technical liquids. The density of the stored product must not exceed 0.9 t/m³. These tanks operate at pressures up to 2 kPa and temperatures up to +95ºС. Externally, RVS tanks have a cylindrical shape. **RVSPK-50000 tanks use a double-deck floating roof**. Double-deck floating roofs are designed for larger diameter tanks (over 50 m) and for areas with higher wind loads. Tank installation is carried out using the **plate-by-plate method**.

**Low-carbon and low-alloy steels** are used for production. The choice of steel grade depends on the chemical properties of the stored product and the operating temperature. For storing highly corrosive liquids (water, milk, and other food products), **stainless steel** is applied.

The production of vertical steel tanks RVSPK-50000m3 is possible in various climatic versions: for operation in warm climates, as well as in moderate and cold climates.

All stages of design and manufacturing of vertical tanks comply with the state standard **GOST 31385-2016 "Vertical cylindrical steel tanks for oil and petroleum products. General technical conditions."**

RVSPK 50000 M3 TANK COMPLETE SET:

- shaft or straight-flight ladder (upon request),

- annular service platform - 1 set,

- equipment (hatches, nozzles) – 1 set.

Upon Customer request, we produce vertical tanks with a volume of 50000 m3 with thermal insulation or a heater (sectional or heat exchange jacket), which help maintain a given temperature.

If it is necessary to increase the service life of the tank and/or store aggressive liquids, the designer can include a corrosion allowance for the tank structures.

The shell, roof, and bottom are produced from rectangular steel sheets. The size of the sheets used depends on the element, for example, for the cylindrical shell, panels up to 1.5x6.0 m are taken. The used steel sheets are then welded into panels and coiled on a rolling stand.

RVSPK-50000 tanks use a **double-deck floating roof**. Double-deck floating roofs are designed for larger diameter tanks (over 50 m) and for areas with higher wind loads. Their design allows for reducing dynamic loads on the membrane. There are two options for constructing a floating roof of this design:

  1. the roof is equipped with radial compartments and annular compartments of the central part, formed during installation;

     
  2. radial boxes are manufactured in the factory to reduce the volume of installation work.

     

During the installation of the floating roof, the membrane is sloped towards the center by ballasting. This allows for the drainage of rainwater from the roof surface. A flexible or articulated drain is installed in the center, equipped with an intake device and a check valve. This design allows for water drainage and, at the same time, prevents the stored product from surfacing on the roof.

The bottom is a flat structure, consisting of steel sheets welded into a panel of the required size (depending on the volume).

RVSPK-50000 m3 tanks with a pontoon or floating roof are more reliable constructions: they prevent the evaporation of stored liquid into the atmosphere. However, they must be operated without pressure and without vacuum.

A protective wall also prevents the stored product from entering the environment in case of leakage.

Integral structural elements are ladders and platforms with or without railings, necessary for personnel access.

In the body and roof at the design stage, and then during manufacturing, hatches and nozzles are provided for the installation of technological equipment (receiving-dispensing equipment, level control devices, etc.).
