**Purpose:** **MPU-0.7 universal gangways** are designed for personnel to transition from a railcar loading/unloading trestle to a rail tank car and road tank truck.
**Description:** MPU gangways (with **counterweight - P** or with **shock absorber - A**) are installed at railway trestles, distributed and transshipment oil depots, oil refineries, and other facilities involved in the processing and transportation of petroleum products.
The gangways can be equipped with **MPP longitudinal movement mechanisms** to provide the gangway with the function of longitudinal movement along the trestle within a certain range.
The gangway's design is a **parallelogram mechanism with hinged steps**. The steps remain horizontal in any position of the gangway.
The gangway's design allows for its **fixation in a vertical (raised) position**. Safe access to the tank car's manhole is ensured by a **handrail-guardrail system**.
MPU gangways consist of the following main parts:
· gangway (1),
· balancing mechanism (counterweight or shock absorber) (2),
· guardrail (3),
· locking device (4).

The gangway can be mounted both directly on the trestle and outside its dimensions on brackets. When mounting outside the trestle's dimensions, brackets must be installed, the design of which is chosen specifically for each trestle.
In terms of resistance to climatic factors, the gangways comply with **U category 1 placement according to GOST R 15150-69**.
The **mean time between failures** is at least 2800 cycles. A cycle is defined as a rotation from the initial position to the working position and back, provided all its components are functioning.
**Service life** – 10 years.
