A **vertical steel tank with a volume of 10,000 m³ (RVS-10000m3)** is used for storing oil and petroleum products, alcohols, water, and other technical liquids. The density of the stored product must not exceed 0.9 t/m³. These tanks are operated at pressures up to 2 kPa and temperatures up to +95ºС. Externally, RVS tanks have a cylindrical shape. As a rule, RVS-10000 m3 tanks feature a **frame-panel roof**. Tank installation can be carried out using two technologies: the **rolling method** or the **plate-by-plate method**.

**Low-carbon and low-alloy steels** are used for production. The choice of steel grade depends on the chemical properties of the stored product and the operating temperature. For storing highly corrosive liquids (water, milk, and other food products), **stainless steel** is applied.
The production of vertical steel tanks RVS-10000m3 is possible in various climatic versions: for operation in warm climates, as well as in moderate and cold climates.

Upon Customer request, we produce vertical tanks with a volume of 10000 m3 with thermal insulation or a heater (sectional or heat exchange jacket), which help maintain a given temperature.
If it is necessary to increase the service life of the tank and/or store aggressive liquids in it, the designer can include a corrosion allowance for the tank structures.

The shell, roof, and bottom are produced from rectangular steel sheets. The size of the sheets used depends on the element, for example, for the cylindrical shell, panels up to 1.5x6.0 m are taken. The used steel sheets are then welded into panels and coiled on a rolling stand.
The roof is a stationary spherical roof with a radial-annular frame system. The radius of the sphere is designed to be within 0.8 – 1.5 times the tank's diameter.
The bottom is a flat structure, consisting of steel sheets welded into a panel of the required size (depending on the volume).
RVS-10000 m3 tanks with a pontoon or floating roof are more reliable structures: they prevent the evaporation of stored liquid into the atmosphere. However, they must be operated without pressure and without vacuum.
A protective wall also prevents the stored product from entering the environment in case of leakage.
Integral structural elements are ladders and platforms with or without railings, necessary for personnel access.
Hatches and nozzles for installing technological equipment (receiving-dispensing equipment, level control devices, etc.) are provided in the body and roof at the design stage and then during manufacturing. In case of ordering an RVSP-10000 m3 tank with a pontoon, RVSP-10000 m3 tanks can be supplied with steel and aluminum pontoons at the Customer's discretion.
The metal structure of the RVSP-10000 m3 tank may include a steel pontoon.

Edge width: outer 500 mm, inner 280 mm.

The open compartments of such a pontoon consist of decking and annular ribs. This ensures the pontoon's floating capability and the necessary rigidity during its vertical movement.
The pontoon moves along a guide pipe. In the lowered position, the pontoon rests on the cantilever of this pipe, as well as on special brackets located on the tank shell.
The pontoon is equipped with a sealing gasket to seal the gap between its edge and the tank wall.
