RVS-100 STORAGE TANKS

The vertical steel tank with a capacity of 100 m³ (abbreviated as RVS-100 m³) is used for storing oil and petroleum products, alcohols, water, and other technical liquids. The density of the stored product should not exceed 1 t/m³. These tanks are operated under pressure up to 2 kPa and temperatures up to +95ºC. Externally, RVS tanks have a cylindrical shape. As a rule, RVS-100 m³ tanks are equipped with a fixed conical frameless roof. Tank installation can be carried out using two technologies: coil (roll-out) assembly or sheet-by-sheet method.

MANUFACTURING OF RVS-100 m³

SAMRUK KAZ LLP manufactures vertical steel tanks in accordance with TU-5265-002-69478442-2013 and holds all necessary Certificates of Conformity.

Low-carbon and low-alloy steels are used in production. The choice of steel grade depends on the chemical properties of the stored product and the operating temperature. For storing highly corrosive liquids (such as water, milk, and other food products), stainless steel is used.

The production of RVS-100 m³ vertical steel tanks is possible in various climatic versions — for operation in warm, moderate, or cold climates.

All stages of design and manufacturing of vertical tanks comply with the national standard GOST 31385-2016 "Vertical Cylindrical Steel Tanks for Oil and Petroleum Products. General Technical Specifications."

SAMRUK KAZ LLP manufactures 100 m³ RVS tanks in the following configurations:

  • with a pontoon (RVSP-100)
  • with a floating or fixed roof
  • with a double (protective) wall

RVS 100 M3 TANK COMPLETE SET:

·         shaft or straight-flight ladder (upon request),

·         annular service platform - 1 set,

·         equipment (hatches, nozzles) – 1 set.

Upon Customer request, we produce vertical tanks with a volume of 100 m3 with thermal insulation or a heater (sectional or heat exchange jacket), which help maintain a given temperature.

If it is necessary to increase the service life of the tank and/or store aggressive liquids in it, the designer can include a corrosion allowance for the tank structures.

RVS-100 DRAWING

Drawing of the RVS-100 vertical tank structure

1 - shell, 2 - bottom, 3 - roof, 4 - hatches and nozzles in the shell and roof, 5 - spiral staircase, 6 - platforms and railings on the roof, 7 - grounding attachment.

The shell, roof, and bottom are made of rectangular steel sheets. The size of the sheets used depends on the element; for example, for the cylindrical shell, panels up to 1.5x6.0 m are taken. The used steel sheets are then welded into panels and rolled on a coiling stand.

The stationary roof is a conical surface, manufactured as a cone at an angle of 15-30º. The roof decking is a flat round steel sheet with a sector-shaped opening; when its edges are pulled together, a conical structure is formed.

The bottom is a flat structure consisting of steel sheets welded into a panel of the required size (depending on the volume).

RVS-100 m3 tanks with a pontoon or floating roof are more reliable structures: they prevent the evaporation of stored liquid into the atmosphere. However, they must be operated without pressure and without vacuum.

The protective wall also prevents the stored product from entering the environment in case of leakage.

In case of ordering an RVSP-100 tank with a pontoon, it is made with open compartments from the decking and annular ribs. A vertical pipe is installed in their center to maintain the horizontal position of the pontoon during loading/unloading operations.

Integral structural elements are ladders and platforms with or without railings, necessary for personnel access.

Hatches and nozzles for installing technological equipment (receiving-dispensing equipment, level control devices, etc.) are provided in the body and roof at the design stage and then during manufacturing. For this purpose, TOO SAMRUK KAZ factory provides for the production of technological tank equipment, which includes loading/unloading devices, nozzles, hatches, equipment for measuring the level of stored liquid. You can find more detailed information on the range of manufactured equipment in the "Tank Equipment" section.
