FILLING AND DISCHARGE DEVICE (FDD) The Filling and Discharge Device (FDD) ensures the processes of pumping oil and petroleum products into and out of the tank. The FDD enables splash-free filling of the tank in accordance with GOST 12.2.044 "Occupational Safety Standards System. Equipment for transporting oil. Safety requirements", and also prevents product leakage in the event of a failure of pipeline shut-off mechanisms or a technological pipeline rupture. The FDD is mounted inside the tank, in the bottom course, at the end of the inlet/outlet nozzle. The damper control mechanism of the FDD is located outside the tank, in front of the inlet/outlet nozzle. This allows the pontoon or floating roof of the tank to descend below 1500 mm from the top level. THE FDD DESIGN ALLOWS TO: Increase the effective tank volume by lowering the minimum filling level Agitate bottom sediment during the filling process Reduce the accumulation of paraffin and corrosive deposits Extend the service life of the tank bottom and the first shell course

RECEIVING AND DISPENSING UNIT (PRU) DESIGN

The PRU consists of a receiving and dispensing nozzle with a branch pipe, an umbrella, a deflector, a rotary valve, and an actuator.

When filling the tank, oil passes through the PRU and spreads along the tank bottom in a submerged jet, washing away bottom sediment. The gap between the umbrella of the receiving and dispensing nozzle and the tank bottom has a minimal size, which allows reducing the minimum discharge level when pumping oil from the tank.

When the rotary valve is open, petroleum products freely enter or are pumped out of the tank. If the valve is closed, the passage of oil and petroleum products is not possible. The opening and closing of the rotary valve are controlled by a manual or electromechanical actuator (PRU and PRU1 models, respectively).

PRU devices can also be manufactured with different valve arrangements relative to the tank: modification V - valve inside the tank, M - valve on the outside of the tank. The valves can be flanged or wafer type.

Upon Customer's request, PRUs can have:

·         one branch pipe in the center of the tank

·         two branch pipes located at opposite points of the tank

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF PRU RECEIVING AND DISPENSING UNITS*

In terms of resistance to external climatic factors, receiving and dispensing devices are manufactured in versions T, U, and UHL of placement category 1 according to GOST 15150-69

TOO SAMRUK KAZ sells standard PRU models and also supplies custom equipment in accordance with the Customer's provided design.
